Yesterday started in a semi-conscious state. Slept at 2.30 the night before and was supposed to wake up at 9 to meet some of my classmates for breakfast. As a result, was kind of late for breakfast but fortunately they waited for me. haha. After which, went on for my appointment then later in the afternoon went for Shooting Training. By right, I didn't expect to perform well during training due to my bout of flu and sore throat with headache spells. However, to my surprise, yesterday marked the begining of my excel in shooting! Mr Ng told me he was very pleased with my results yesterday, which I can't help but agree as well, although I expect better. haha. Could really tell that he was happy because he kept asking me to keep my target cards, after which I told him that I always keep my target cards after every training. haha. God certainly works miracles and I thank him for my fabulous training results yesterday.
After training, was supposed to grab a bite with Amelia and the rest outside school before our thanksgiving concert. Timo and Lin Qiang, especially Timo were kind of pissed waiting for me, Amelia and Shu Qi who were in the toilet. Actually, Amelia and I were waiting for Shu Qi who was bathing. haha. Anyway, didn't manage to eat outside in the end due to time constraint. Settled for food at the mini funfair in the canteen instead! Met up with Kwan Loong and purchased his kacang putih then walked around with Audrey and Jason. We were so bored until we ended up seating on the bench and gossiped!
Assembly comprised of a short march by some NPCC and NCC students. Wasn't as extravagant as Cedar's...definitely not! haha. However, that brought back memories of participating in Cedar's NDP marching contingent. Suddenly missed footdrill! lol!
Thanksgiving concert was a blast! Begining with a shocking entrance of our "VIP" "Darth Vader", we were totally taken in for a surprise upon discovering that "Darth Vader" was none other then our GP tutor Mr Raymond Andrew! Mdm Jess Wong, who played "Queen Amidala", was breath-taking yet sweet! Really a cute pair of emcees I must say. haha. Performances were really entertaining and unique! Lots of originality was encompassed in the hilarious acts put up by the various departments of teachers. Even the transition of performances was spectacular! Anyone who had eyes to see could tell that a tremendous amount of effort was placed into executing the whole concert, from the props to the line-up. A heart-warming and unexpected performance was our very own principal Mr Tan dedicating 2 songs, one for us J1s and one for the J2s. The song 'hai ou- seagulls' was a touching yet clear indication that our principal would like us to be strong and perseverant like the seagulls who could brave any storm. 'If We Hold On Together', dedicated to the J2s was more of a motivating yet farewell kind of song, asking the J2s to stay united throughout their last moments together before the A' levels. It has really been a long time since the school last displayed such applaudible unity and commendable school spirit as the school song was sung vehemently and proudly yesterday night. Our signature "SRJC all for you, your call is ours too" verse was vociferous and the only such time such school spirit was displayed would be during Orientation Night! haha. The concert was a real success and I would like to express my gratitude to all the teachers who have put in effort for the concert. Teachers and principals, you guys rock!
Proceeded on to a late dinner after the concert with a few of my classmates. Was seething with hunger as I hadn't eaten anything since lunch and by the time we ate our dinner, it was around 10! Went to Junction 8 after much contemplating and in all, truly enjoyed myself. I would like to thank Mccholas aka Mc who snatched the balloons for me and KL for seeing me home! I would have really been lost without you! lol! Thank God you didn't bump into those gangsters if not I would have been extremely guilty! haha. In short, yesterday was a really fun and emotional day! I love 1S03!
