"Oh my goodness, so empty!" were the exact words that protruded from my mouth when Sok and I catched our long awaited Spiderman 3 yesterday morning. Have been wanting to watch Spiderman 3 since ages ago but had failed to do so because of many unfavourable circumstances. After a seemingly perpetual wait, managed to get Sok to watch it with me. After the camp briefing in the morning, headed to PS after changing and picking Sok up from her house. Thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when I saw an empty queue at the ticketing counters. Sok told me that it was still morning and people hardly watch movies at that hour, thus explaining for the lack of queue. haha. Anyway, bought tickets (and they were good seats too!) then proceeded to buy food. The waiter at the food counter certainly had attitude problem (AP). Was waiting to order my food and then came this Caucasian who was queueing sort of beside me since the queue only comprised of me and himself. The AP waiter then called on the Caucasian instead of me? Thank goodness the Caucasian was a gentleman and told the waiter that he should be serving me first because I was first in queue. The waiter then gave excuses by saying,"You are buying food? You didn't even tell me you were going to buy food. What do you want?" in a rude fashion. Seriously, do his words make sense? I mean if I didn't want to buy food, what would I be doing in the queue? Do I also need to inform him that I wanted to buy food before he served me? Illogical bunch of excuses I dare proclaim! Anyway, went into the theatre with our food and drink. What we witnessed next was a complete shock! Welcomed into the cinema by a vacant, dim ambience, with only a man sitted in the second last row! Imagine our surprise! We were supposed to be seated next to the guy but chose the row infront istead because it would be entirely weird to sit next to a stranger with no one else around! Sat through the entire movie with an awkward feeling due to the void spaces and well, Spiderman 3 was kind of disappointing. Although the story line was better than Pirates of the Caribbean 3, the movie somehow lacked the "wow" factor. The slapstick comedy known to be encompassed in the action movie didn't work out for me as well. On the whole, I felt that the movie was a disenchantment.
