Have been feeling kind of perplexed lately, with the occasional voidness on the inside (if you know what I mean). I will always remember one of the impactful words said by my previous principal Ms Leong, "the only thing constant in life is change". How ironic can life be? Life is just so unfathomable that no matter how much you try to decipher its secrets it just cannot be done. Well, here I am trying to get by each passing day and I can't help but agree that many things are changing. I believe majority of humans are stereotypical so we may not be able to adapt to changes instantly. Most humans like to follow a systematic routine and thus when change is introduced into their system, they may be lost at some point in time, clueless about what to do next. I believe this is how I feel at this point in my life, clueless as to what move is to be executed. People and situations change and we can't help but wonder why. I guess this has to be part of life's plan, to enable us to handle different people and situations as we move along. Life is just so unpredictable, that we are unaware of what is to happen next. Thus, I hereby urge all of you to treasure moments and people whom are dear to you because you never know when you will lose them. I know this sounds very cliche but I guess it's just something so serious and true that having it being said again doesn't really matter does it? Don't wait for regret to come, strike before it happens!

Attended the ASPIRE Leaders' Camp on Tuesday. Was definitely reminded of CRCY's camps as the structure and contents of the camp were similar. The camp was a mixture of OAC and CRCY's annual camp, with punishments (pumpings...pumping positions...), High Elements, Tower Elements etc. plus Kayaking and raft building! haha. Well, unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy all these because I collapsed (literally) on the first day! Oh, how weak can I be? First day of camp comprised of pumpings, some leadership games and most memorable of all, the ASPIRE Race! The race was like Orienteering, just that the journey was definitely many times further and the area covered was more extensive! Started out from SR, then walked to Punggol Park, took bus to Bedok Reservoir, took bus to East Coast Park, then walked all the way to Changi Adventure Campsite. Walking distance was endless and our heavy backpacks only made matters worse! However, chivalry certainly wasn't dead as most of the guys in my group, or should I say the guys in the other groups as well, helped the girls with their luggage! Felt extremely grateful to them because they were really selfless (one of the leadership values emphasized in our camp!). As we were at our last leg of the race, halfway through walking from East Coast to Changi, suddenly felt a piercing pain in the chest. Oh well, tried to ignore it but couldn't help it when Mrs Chen noticed my pale face and asked if I felt like fainting. Kept telling her that I was fine and could continue as I didn't want to drag my group down as last 2 teams to reach the campsite had to do a forfeit! However, Mrs Chen was kind of worried for me, thus she slowed the group down and called for transport. Felt really awful as I didn't want to be considered a weakling and moreover, I was trying to persevere and didn't want to admit defeat so easily. Well, so the story goes on and later was feeling really unwell so was asked to go home. Didn't want to leave my group mates alone to endure all the hardship because after all, we were supposed to be in it together. Anyway, at this time when I'm blogging, it would be their second last day at camp and what's worse is that campfire is tonight and I can't attend! Here's wishing all the leaders at camp ASPIRE a safe and enjoyable time. Really feel super awful that I can't be at camp with the rest now. God Bless!
