"Ready! Setto! ARGO!...I love you Argo and if it's quite alright I need you Argo, to warm my lonely nights, I need you Argo, trust in me when I say....I say Argo you say 'A', you say 'A', you say 'A', I say Argo you say 'Ba', you say 'Ba', you say 'Ba', I say Argo you say 'A', I say Argo you say 'Ba', I say Argo you say 'Aaaaaa-R-G-O' Argo Argo here we go, Oooooo....Argo boleh! Argo boleh! Oooooo....Argo boleh! Argo boleh! Argo Oi! (Oi), Argo Oi! (Oi), Argo Argo! Yam.....Seng! Our very own 2nd Orientation 250 combo cheer!
Today, being the third and final day of 2nd Orientation, the spirits of the freshmen were much higher than the previous 2 days. Glad we managed to lift the spirits of the freshmen if not the whole Orientation would certainly have failed. However, as much as it pains my heart to say so, people from Argo for 2nd Orientation were definitely not as enthusiastic as the Argo peeps in 1st Orientation. Cheers were really not up to standard and it really was demoralising especially for the OGLs. Anyway, fusion night was a blast although I'm sure not everyone cheered. Senior OGLs from 1st Orientation as well as some other J1s from Argo 1st O who had been posted to other schools also came back to help boost Argo's spirits. A big thank you to the 2 guys from NYJC who came back to cheer Argo on and teach us the 'Roti Prata Cheer'! Lol... really appreciated your cute cheer! The PL mascot and all the PLs who put up the hilarious skit for Argo, you guys really ROCK! An extremely enthusiastic bunch of PLs I must say!
Well, back to overall Orientation, it was tremendously disappointing that Argo lost. I can't believe it, if you went to compare our morale, enthusiasm, cheers and everything during 1st O, it would definitely have been a vast difference as compared to 2nd O. Everyone could practically feel the power and spirit of Argo during 1st O, so much so that I dare to proclaim that nobody had hopes of clinching champion for 1st O as they all knew Argo would surely win. During our fusion night, when we cheered our family cheer, it was supposed to shake the place but however, it was incredulously powerless. Where had the volume and the power all disappeared to? Was really shattered when they didn't announce Argo as champions for 2nd O. Truly demoralising to have Argo lose 2nd OGL camp and 2nd O simultaneously. Almost cried during college anthem which was held right after the release of the results but fortunately I held my tears back. Wan Li, Adele and a few other freshmen cried. Oh well, it's not that I'm saying only Argo deserves championship for 2nd O, but I guess it's this repeated disappointment and the glimmer of hope that we could actually restore Argo to victory that made our losing exceedingly disappointing and heartbreaking. With this, I would like to thank our OFCs, Ben Mao and Fides for supporting Argo all the way and all the Argo OGLs for making 2nd O happen! I also would like to thank our ever so supporting Dustin! Finally, I would like to thank all our Argo freshmen for putting in whatever they had, althoug I still believe we could have done better! I would also like to salute Aaron Lake, OGL from Calypso, my friend and 1S23 classmate, for being really supportive and for displaying by far the best sportsmanship I've ever seen! Aaron, you Rock! A Happy Birthday to Bismarck's OFL, as well as my 1S23 classmate and friend Jerome! Although Bismarck didn't clinch champion, I'm sure a 2nd place was sufficient to make your birthday a great one right? With this, Argo Boleh!
