Received my o'level mother tongue results yesterday, since it's 12 plus in the morning now. In my opinion, i did quite terribly, not up to my expectations. however, i truly feel that i deserve this score because i did not really work hard for it at all. i was practically slacking for the whole of last year and i had not bothered to put in any or much effort in my studies, thus attaining undesireable results which i only have myself to blame. i thank the lord for giving me this chance and without his help, i don't think i'll be able to get even an a2 for my o'level mother tongue. honestly speaking, if i had gotten an a1 for my o'level mother tongue, i would not have the motivation which i have now to work hard and achieve a1s for all of my other 8 o'level subjects. i would probably resume my usual slacking self and not have the drive to study hard for my o'levels this year. thus, i believe the lord has his purpose of not giving me the a1 which i had badly desired. 10th february 2006 will be my turning point in life and i will work hard to attain my goal! as the saying goes ,"when the going gets tough, the tough gets the going". therefore, i shall not be discouraged and continue to strive hard and trust in the lord.i would also like to take this opportunity to thank candice, my greatest pillar of support (i'm your pillar too!), keet, dawn, zhen luan (don't mind if i spell out your name!) and of course my family for showing me concern and support and anyone else who has given me support or concern in one way or another. Cherissa, do not despair, i know that the monitresses of 3p are jinxed but nevertheless, we shall not lose heart and strive even harder to attain the goals we want to acheive! we shall not be jinxed anymore! keet, cheer up ok? don't quit. if you want to quit, then quit before investiture or else the new monitress won't have a badge for the rest of the year! haha, joking, joking. you will do well as a monitress ok? you already have. don't worry about the monitress council. it doesn't really matter if you do not know anyone there. you will in due time. here's wishing everyone all the best for your studies and hope you all will achieve your desired goals!
